What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mendota Elementary Copy Clerk position at School District 197?
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in an elementary school production environment, preferred.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work with students, parents and staff to plan/prepare for improved school success.
- Copy materials as needed for school
- Office support - order office supplies, phones, greeting families, relieving lunch breaks (Administrative Assistant)
- Attendance support - identify students with excessive absences, follow up with phone calls and entation schedule
- Attend diversity meetings with Building Admin
- Self starter-create and initiate programs for our students and teachers to improve/engage reading
- Experience working with children of diverse economic, social, and cultural backgrounds
- Support students, teachers, and parents with office and school tasks (attendance, lunch count, etc).
- Support building office admin assistant.
- Other duties as assigned by site supervisor.

Support Paraprofessional - Copy Clerk
Hours:
Student Contact Days
10 hours per week.
Salary:
$16.89 per hour based on the 2023-25 salary schedule for district paraprofessionals.
Qualifications:
Physical Requirements:
Physically capable of meeting all performance responsibilities required with students, including moderate standing, walking, stooping, bending and kneeling. Presenting information to students and lifting up to 40 pounds.
