Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Manage classroom activities effectively to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Provide individualized attention to students, adapting teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs, including those with special education requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a collaborative community.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance curriculum development and share best practices.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain an engaging and orderly environment.
- Experience working with students of varying abilities, including those requiring special education support.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices, particularly in preschool settings.
- Ability to educate young children through creative lesson plans and hands-on activities.
- Experience in tutoring or providing additional support for children's learning needs is a plus.
