Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch drivers for daily school routes and trips
- Monitor routes and make real-time adjustments as needed
- Communicate with drivers, schools, and management regarding delays, changes, and issues
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and transportation regulations
- Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports
- Assist with route planning and coverage for call-outs or emergencies
Requirements:
- Valid CDL with School Bus and Passenger endorsements, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Ability to pass a rigorous background check
- Must meet all certification requirements for contracted schools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in school bus transportation or dispatching
- Familiarity with routing software and student transportation logistics
