Responsibilities

• Lead engaging arts and crafts sessions that encourage creativity and self-expression among children of various ages.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive and organized learning environment.
• Prepare materials and set up art stations to facilitate smooth activity flow.
• Ensure the safety of all participants by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR, AED operation, and other health and safety standards.
• Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges through tailored approaches and compassionate guidance.
• Collaborate with fellow staff to plan age-appropriate activities aligned with program goals.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in educational, camp, daycare, or childcare settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated classroom management skills and ability to engage young learners effectively.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols (certifications preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience in arts and crafts instruction or related creative fields such as theater or visual arts is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Ability to handle behavioral management challenges with patience and professionalism.
• Previous camp experience or youth programs teaching experience will be considered an asset.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
