The Keene School District is seeking a dynamic, culturally responsive English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher to join our dedicated Student Services team. This unique split-role offers the opportunity to support diverse learners at both the high school and elementary levels. You will be instrumental in helping students gain English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, ensuring they have full access to our curriculum and a sense of belonging in our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Targeted Instruction: Design and deliver high-quality, differentiated English language instruction (individual and small group) for students with varying levels of proficiency.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Administer and interpret diagnostic testing (including WIDA ACCESS) for benchmarking, monitoring progress, and determining program eligibility.
- Collaboration: Act as a specialist resource for classroom teachers at Keene High School and assignedelementary sites, modifying instructional materials and strategies to support ELL inclusion.
- Advocacy & Outreach: Serve as a bridge between home and school, nurturing supportive relationships with families and helping them navigate the district's resources.
- Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure all services align with NH state regulations and federal mandates for English Language Learners.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a job-related area (or equivalent experience).
- Certification: Must hold or be eligible for NH Teacher Certification in English for Speakers of Other Languages (0607).
