Middle School Special Education Paraprofessional

SAU #6 is seeking patient, caring, and reliable Paraprofessionals to join our educational support team. Paraprofessionals play a vital role in creating safe, positive, and supportive learning environments for all students.

In this role, you will work directly under the direction of classroom teachers and special education specialists to assist students individually or in small groups with academic instruction, social-emotional skill building, behavioral support, and daily routines. Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• Certification: New Hampshire Paraeducator Certification (Para I or Para II) is highly preferred (or willingness to pursue certification upon hire).
• Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, dependability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment for students of all abilities.

Pre-Employment Contingencies

Offers of employment with SAU #6 are conditional and contingent upon the successful completion of the following prior to start of work:

• Criminal Background Check: A comprehensive criminal history record check, including state and FBI fingerprinting, in accordance with NH RSA 189:13-a.
• Pre-Employment Physical Exam: A completed medical physical examination confirming ability to perform essential job functions.

• Drug Screen: A pre-employment drug screening as required by district policy.
