- Capability to remain upright for extended periods, work outdoors in various weather conditions and respond quickly in emergencies
- Familiarity with local traffic laws, pedestrian safety rules and crossing guard protocols
- Proficiency with equipment such as stop signs, safety vests, hand signals and crossing aids

POSITION SUMMARY
The school crossing guard for the elementary school is responsible for ensuring the safety and assisting students navigate crossing the street before and after school.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and sit. The employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear.
