What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher ESL position at SCHOOL # 18?
Qualifications:
- Hold a New Jersey English as a Second Language certification
- Must be knowledgeable of NJSLS, WIDA, and mandated state testing
- Excellent experience teaching and working with various grade level students.
- Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching English as a second language, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis and research related to learning and children needing to learn English as a second language.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
- Demonstrate the ability to use technology and technological devices to enhance lessons, as well as for word processing, data management, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and the community
- Successful implementation of instructional strategies
- Must be computer literate
- Highly motivated result-driven educator
