About the Employer
At Scholarship Prep, we show up differently. Our network of public charter schools is five campuses strong across Southern California, serving 2,000 TK-8 students, and we're just getting started! We exist for the students who need us most: kids experiencing homelessness, navigating foster care, or seeking a school that identifies and meets their needs. Every child deserves a community where they are known, challenged, and loved. This belief drives everything we do. We're serious about our university-inspired academic setting, but we know strong instruction alone isn’t enough. Our schools are built on trauma-informed practices, culturally responsive teaching, and meaningful mental health supports that help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. While our work has been recognized and celebrated, what motivates us isn’t awards - it’s impact. We believe that when students are supported by strong systems, caring adults, and authentic partnerships, they can succeed at the highest levels. That’s why we create school communities where scholarship is standard, equity is essential, and partnerships are power. Where every student leaves ready to pursue college, build meaningful careers, and give back. Looking to create community change? You belong here, too!
Job Summary
Job Summary
At Scholarship Prep, we believe every child deserves a joyful, excellent school where they feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn. Strong schools depend on strong systems - and strong systems require strong leadership. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for building and leading the people systems that ensure every campus is staffed with a diverse, mission-aligned team supported to do their best work. This role oversees all aspects of human resources, including talent, employee relations, compliance, and organizational culture, ensuring that practices across the network are equitable, consistent, and responsive to staff needs. Serving as a strategic partner to school leaders and Home Office teams, the Director leads both the design and execution of HR systems, balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on support. Through clear expectations, strong relationships, and a deep commitment to care and accountability, this role ensures that adults across Scholarship Prep are supported, empowered, and positioned to serve students and families at the highest level. This is a hybrid role with 1 day weekly in office in Santa Ana and monthly visits to each SP campus.
