TITLE: Cub Care Site Leader
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To provide programming and care for children before or after school in a safe environment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for collection of fees and forms from parents
- Responsible for maintaining children’s files through MyClubHub
- Assists with curriculum planning and staff schedules
- Notifies Cub Care Director of needed supplies
- Responsible for scheduling activities and events
- Ensures program meets children’s needs
- Ensures Boys & Girls Clubs policies are implemented
- Follows all designated site requirements
- Ensures positive, effective communication and cooperation with: building principal, all essential building staff, parents, students and Cub Care staff
- Maintains accurate records on the program, staff, children and finances
- Provides program agenda for the day, week, month
- Deals with discipline issues not diffused by Cub Care Worker
- Assumes additional related duties as requested by Cub Care Director
- Submits monthly report to the Cub Care Director
- Attend required staff meetings and trainings
- Dress appropriately for school setting
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferable to have a two-year associate degree in related field)
- Prefer a minimum of one-year experience in adult supervision.
- Good attendance with punctuality
- An understanding of a need for confidentiality
- Pleasant personality and a willingness to work collaborative
- Good grammar
- Clean and neat appearance
- Experience working with school-age students
- An ability to work with children
- An ability to work with a team of people
- An ability to use independent judgment
- An ability to follow written and verbal directions
- Basic skills in the general use of technology
- An ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality
- Effective verbal and written skills
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- Cleaning up after children
- On your feet
- Inside and outside duties
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
