Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician supports production operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and facility systems to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and the ability to respond quickly to equipment issues in a production environment. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, address mechanical failures, and support overall facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery according to manufacturer and company guidelines
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and assist operators in restoring equipment to productive operation
- Repair mechanical components to reduce downtime and maintain production schedules
- Support maintenance of auxiliary equipment and facility-related systems
- Escalate larger or specialized equipment issues to senior technicians as required
- Ensure strict compliance with all safety, productivity, and regulatory standards, including OSHA and ADA requirements
- Evaluate production floor conditions to ensure proper and safe use of equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area during maintenance, repair, and installation tasks
- Contribute to continuous improvement of mechanical efficiency and system performance
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of experience in equipment or mechanical maintenance
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and repair techniques
- Ability to diagnose and resolve common mechanical issues efficiently
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour
