Position Summary:
The Sorter role is responsible for verifying, scanning, and organizing parts to ensure accurate sequencing and proper placement within designated locations. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting production flow, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and standard work instructions at all times
- Verify and scan parts to ensure correct sequencing and placement
- Confirm all totes and containers are empty prior to processing and documentation
- Ensure containers are staged accurately in designated locations
- Perform visual quality checks on packaging and materials
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all sorting activities
- Support operational efficiency by adhering to established workflows and processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to distinguish between colors accurately
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow standardized processes and instructions
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- Warehouse environment with moderate to high noise levels
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis
- Required use of Personal Protective Equipment while on the shop floor
- Exposure to moving equipment and operational activity within the facility
