Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Massage Therapist role based in Grand Rapids, MI. The Massage Therapist will provide therapeutic medical massage services to support chiropractic care plans, focusing on pain relief, improved mobility, and relaxation.
Daily responsibilities include assessing client needs, performing appropriate massage techniques, documenting sessions, and communicating with the chiropractor regarding client progress and concerns. The role involves maintaining a clean and calming treatment space, fulfill scheduled appointments, and delivering professional, respectful customer service to all clients. The Massage Therapist will work closely with the chiropractic team to ensure a cohesive, patient-centered experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to provide high-quality hands-on care through Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage techniques.
- Experience or training in deep tissue or similar modalities that support pain relief and overall wellness.
- Skills in Stress Management and relaxation-focused work to help clients reduce tension and improve wellbeing.
- Strong Customer Service skills, including clear communication, empathy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Current massage therapy license in the state of Michigan, in good standing, and current massage liability insurance.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for massage, especially in a chiropractic setting.
- Ability to collaborate with a chiropractic provider, our C.A., and office manager. Able to follow care plans, and adjust techniques based on guidance.
- Reliable time management, punctuality, and the ability to work a consistent part-time schedule.
