What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Schneider Electric?
This is a first shift position located in Lancaster, NY.
What will you do?
- Perform process audits and quality checks to ensure manufacturing operations meet rigorous safety and compliance requirements
- Use root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methods to address quality issues and prevent recurrence
- Support change management for new manufacturing lines and process updates to maintain quality standards
- Partner with production and cross-functional teams to enhance process robustness and minimize customer-facing quality risks
- Quality Strategy — intermediate level; deploying quality culture and standards across manufacturing sites
- Problem Solving — intermediate level; identifying and resolving quality issues using structured methodologies
- Five Whys — intermediate level; conducting root cause investigations to prevent recurring defects
- Change Management — intermediate level; supporting quality assurance during line implementations and process changes
- PFMEA — intermediate level; assessing potential failure modes to strengthen process design
- Quality in Manufacturing and Distribution — intermediate level; ensuring compliance throughout the production lifecycle
- Analytical Thinking — developing level; interpreting data to drive quality improvements
- Root Cause Analysis — developing level; investigating issues to implement effective corrective actions
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high quality standards
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with production teams and cross-functional partners

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $27 - $38 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials, depending on location.
