Job Description: Coordinate with quality and category procurement teams to identify, select and qualify new suppliers following SSQM process. Deploy procurement and supplier strategy by guiding development teams to select appropriate suppliers. Align supplier strategy and category procurement team for each category. Implement procurement strategy by supplier mapping (SOC). Leverage supplier expertise to improve design for manufacturing. Support value analysis by function vs cost. Oversee BOM cost and contract. Conduct cost estimation. Get and analyze supplier quotes. Monitor and ensure competitive material cost to meet product target cost. Negotiate all procurement terms and conditions. Set up contract for strategic parts and components. Build up and follow up project planning with supplier and cross-functional/global teams. Oversee supplier performance in terms of in due time and quality of deliverables and monitor improvement. Ensure quality and on time delivery of procurement project deliverables. Review upstream supply chain in project. Position eligible for remote work 2 days per week.
Requirements: Position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical, Electric, or Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or a related field and 3 years of experience in supply chain management, commercial trade, or supplier relationship management, or related occupation, which must include at least some experience in the following skills: Procurement processes related to New Offer Launch projects; Supplier Commodity/Category Management; Utilizing Electronic components (semiconductor, passive components) market intelligence to anticipate and mitigate supplier risk; Utilizing SAP or other ERP/MRP systems to manage cost evolution, approved vendor list and quota management; Procurement Systems auditing; and Monitoring supplier Product Part Approval Process (PPAP).
