Schmidthuber Farrier Services is looking for a hardworking, dependable individual to join one of the busiest performance horse farrier businesses in the region.
This is not a job for someone looking to play with horses or scroll on their phone. This is hard, physical work with long days, early mornings, hot summers, cold winters, and high expectations. In return, you’ll learn a valuable trade, work around top performance horses, and be part of a business built on reputation, quality, and professionalism.
Whether you have horse experience or are completely new to the industry, we’re willing to train the right person. We can teach shoeing—we can’t teach work ethic.
What You’ll Do
- Assist during farrier appointments at multiple barns each day
- Handle and hold horses safely
- Pull shoes, clean and prep feet
- Organize tools and maintain the truck and trailer
- Load and unload equipment
- Keep work areas clean and efficient
- Help ensure every client receives professional, high-quality service

- Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds repeatedly and being on your feet all day.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.

- Horse experience is a plus but not required.

Pay: $100.00 - $300.00 per day
