Schmidt’s Catering Prep
Full or Part Time Position
$15-18/hour
Primary Location: Ohio Expo Center
We are seeking quality oriented individuals to help in our banquet/catering kitchen. Our kitchen is located at Ohio Expo Center, where we service all of Schmidt’s off premise catering. You will be responsible for food prep, production, and maintaining a clean kitchen. Nights and weekends
Job Overview
- Assist in food preparation, chopping vegetables, making salads, soups, and entrees
- Ensuring proper food storage
- Learning and following designated cooking methods and recipes to ensure consistency in menu items.
- Strives to learn to learn and improve cooking skills, expand knowledge of food products and techniques.
- Assist with cleaning, sanitation, organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
- Additional responsibilities as requested by the management team.
ADA Requirements:
- Must be able to remain standing for long periods of time
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to move around locations
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, setup, tear down equipment often
- Must be able to move wrists in consistent motions numerous times
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds to chest
- Frequently moves boxes and equipment
- Occasionally ascend/descends a ladder to service lights, signs, and tents
- Must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so other will understand
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to observe details at close range
- Job requires working in outdoor weather conditions
Salary : $14 - $18
