Schmidt Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. is looking for a motivated HVAC Technician / Mechanic (or an apprentice - willing to train the right candidate) to service our growing customer base. You will handle a variety of industrial, commercial, and residential HVAC projects across Western Connecticut. This position is ideal for a professional dedicated to top-tier climate control solutions and system longevity. (Pay is based on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- HVAC Systems: Install, repair, and maintain Rooftop Units (RTUs), central air conditioning systems, and various heating systems.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on commercial and residential HVAC equipment.
- Code Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to all local and state heating, cooling, and building codes.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in heating and cooling systems and replace defective parts or components.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Skills: Excellent mechanical abilities, troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with diverse HVAC systems.
- Driver's License: Valid CT Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
