Job Description: Warehouse Assistant/Tool Room Attendant

Primary Function: Maintain an organized, accurate, and safe warehouse and tool room. This position is responsible for managing the checkout and return of company tools and equipment, inspecting and servicing construction-related tools, supporting warehouse operations, and serving as a backup delivery driver as needed.

Tool Room and Equipment Management

· Manage the checkout and return of company tools and equipment, maintaining accurate records of assignments and locations.

· Inspect returned tools for damage, missing parts, and maintenance needs.

· Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair construction-related power tools and coordinate outside repairs when necessary.

· Keep the tool room organized and report missing, damaged, or unsafe equipment to the supervisor.

Warehouse Support

· Receive, unload, organize, and accurately store incoming materials.

· Prepare and load materials for upcoming jobs.

· Maintain warehouse inventory, cleanliness, and organization.

· Operate warehouse equipment safely and report equipment concerns.

Delivery Support

· Complete occasional deliveries to jobsites, customers, and company locations.

· Verify, safely load, secure, and unload materials and equipment.

· Provide professional and courteous service during deliveries.

General Responsibilities

· Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

· Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality.

· Communicate issues or concerns promptly.

· Support coworkers and assist with other duties as needed.

Experience and Educational Requirements

· Experience maintaining and repairing construction-related power tools and equipment required.

· Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills required.

· Construction or warehouse experience preferred.

· Forklift certification required or ability to obtain company-sponsored certification.

· Valid Wisconsin driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required.

· Basic math, computer, and recordkeeping skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

Physical and Mental Demands

· Regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 pounds; heavier or awkward items may require team lifting or mechanical assistance.

· Frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, twist, reach, push, and pull.

· Use hands and arms to operate, inspect, maintain, and repair tools and equipment.

· Safely operate vehicles, forklifts, cutting equipment, and power tools.

· Visually inspect tools, materials, labels, and written documentation.

· Work periodically at a desk or computer to maintain records.

· Work in a warehouse environment that may include noise, dust, temperature changes, and moving equipment.

· Occasionally work early or adjusted hours to accommodate deliveries and operational needs.

· Occasionally complete local or longer-distance driving.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
