This position will change to a 12 hour 3rd shift (6:00 pm - 6:00 am) next year

Shift Differential is available for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

SCOPE OF DUTIES:

· Demonstrated knowledge of function and operation of all components and machinery in and used by the KB Line Operations

· Lead line staff in all task related to set-up and operation of Kerdi Board Line in a safe and efficient manner.

· Ability to perform operational troubleshooting of KB Line machinery and equipment. Properly document the situation and communicate to Supervisory personnel and Maintenance.

· Record timely and accurate documentation related to production and process data.

· Ability to recognize and react to process upsets to include recording of observations, process data and actions taken.

· Provide assistance to Maintenance as needed.

· Support the training of personnel – assist in candidate’s training to achieve certification in desired position.

· Support line personnel to ensure task and requirements associated to operations and Quality Control are understood and being completed correctly.

· Good computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.

· Must be able to communicate effectively.

· Ability to prioritize and respond to shifting demands and production requirements.

· Complete an accurate and detailed work order for submission to Supervisor.

· Be available for any shift as required to fill in absences, etc.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

· Prior machine operations and experience in manufacturing/industrial setting

· Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools and processes, Toyota Production System a plus

EDUCATION:

· Two-year degree or technical training degree/certification

· Combination of experience and specific industry related training may substitute formal education requirements.

· Represent UMS Manufacturing, in a professional, positive, and enthusiastic manner in all matters.

· Comply with occupational safety regulations.

· Ability to work any shift, overtime, and holidays if needed, or on call availability.
