What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vital Stretch Practitioner position at SCHLEICHER HOLDINGS INC?
Vital Stretch Practitioner (VSP): Full or Part Time
The Vital Stretch is opening its first southeastern Wisconsin location at River Centre in Mequon. We help people move better, recover faster, and live with less pain through one-on-one assisted stretching delivered by trained practitioners using a proprietary method designed by a Physical Therapist and a Chiropractic Physician.
This isn't a gym, and our practitioners aren't trainers in the traditional sense. We're closer to a wellness clinic than a fitness studio — our work is consultative, education-based, and built around a personalized care plan for each member. We work with active adults, weekend athletes, desk workers with chronic tightness, and people in their 50s, 60s, and 70s who want to keep doing the things they love. Our job is to help them get there.
The Role: Vital Stretch Practitioner
As a VSP, you'll deliver one-on-one stretch sessions to clients across a wide range of ages, goals, and mobility levels. You'll conduct assessments to understand each client's needs, design custom care plans, build lasting relationships, and guide members through their journey to better movement. Our approach is consultative and education-based — we help people understand their bodies and make informed decisions about their care, not chase short-term sales.
A Day in the Life
• Deliver one-on-one assisted stretch sessions to members
• Conduct Vital Signs screenings for new clients and translate findings into custom care plans
• Have honest, educational conversations with clients about their progress, next steps, and membership options
• Maintain detailed session notes and progress tracking in our studio software
• Manage your member base — check-ins, texts, follow-ups, scheduling
• Set and hit monthly goals together with your studio manager
• Help create social media content for the studio (educational and approachable; no influencer-level performance required)
• Keep the studio space clean, organized, and welcoming
• Make outbound calls to leads and follow up with members between sessions
• Support local community events — both at the studio and at partner locations
What We're Looking For
Required:
• Genuine interest in anatomy, movement, and helping people feel better
• Strong communicator — you listen well and explain things clearly
• Reliable, professional, and comfortable working hands-on with clients
• Available for some evening and Saturday shifts (studio operates 5 days/week initially)
• Willingness to complete The Vital Stretch Method certification as part of your paid onboarding
Preferred:
• Active certification: NASM-CPT, NASM-CES, NASM-PES, NASM-SFC, ACE-CPT, ACSM-CPT, NSCA-CSCS, ISSA-CPT, or equivalent
• Wisconsin Licensed Massage Therapist (WI LMT)
• Background in exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training, physical therapy, or related field
• Prior experience in assisted stretching, personal training, sports performance, or recovery work
