Manufacturing Welder Job Description
Position Summary
Schlagel Manufacturing is seeking a welder that is efficient, organized, and with good attention to detail to join our team. This position entails welding and assembling metal pieces and products by GMAW equipment. This position is responsible for welding large assemblies and small parts in a timely manner on a production line basis.
Responsibilities
● Setting up parts for welding
● Using hand tools, clamps, jigs, and fixtures
● Works from specifications, drawings, and welding symbols
● Prepares and completes work on materials by welding, cutting, grinding and cleaning metal
● Maintain an organized workstation
● Communicates well with other team members to reach a common goal
Qualifications
● High school diploma or GED certificate
● Minimum 2 years of related work experience
● Welding certificate required
● Self-motivated, punctual, adaptive, flexible
● Must be able to lift 50 lbs
● Must be able to pass a drug test
Working Conditions
● Hours are Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 5 pm
● Works indoors
