Hours: Full-time and Part-time available
What This Job Actually Looks Like
- Phones ringing all day — clients, courts, prosecutors, attorneys
- Managing court calendars, deadlines, and filings where mistakes have consequences
- Maintaining flawless case organization (electronic and physical)
- Handling stressed, emotional, and sometimes difficult clients professionally
- Conducting new client intake accurately and efficiently
- Supporting multiple attorneys by anticipating needs and being reliable
- Being accountable for follow-through — no reminders, no micro-managing
- Must be tech savvy and able to trouble shoot issues
- Handling confidential and time-sensitive matters with urgency & discretion
- Data entry, note taking/entry, creating documents for internal processes & informational documents and resources for clients
- Law firm experience strongly preferred; criminal defense experience is a major advantage
- Exceptional organization and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Professional demeanor and thick skin
- Ability to handle confidential information without discussion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suites, Google Suites, and office systems
- Familiarity with Michigan courts preferred
