Project Manager - Modernization
Your Main Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Oversee modernization projects to ensure efficient, profitable close-out
- Provide approved submittals and ensure timely delivery of materials from vendors
- Collaborate with the Field Superintendents to monitor job progress and address potential delays with action plans
- Partner with Engineering and local & regional management for successful completion of the project
- Maintain vendor relationships and assist with monthly forecasting and budget planning
- Identify change notice opportunities, prepare paperwork, and secure customer approvals before work begins
- Manage project revenue, size, and adherence to fulfillment guidelines
- Ensure timely invoicing, targeting 90% payment prior to elevator turnover.
- Establish and maintain critical customer relationships to support project success
- Ensure compliance with customer and Schindler requirements for quality, performance, and passenger safety.
- Bachelor's Degree: Major: Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management or Finance with at least 5 years of proven project management experience
- 3-7 years experience leading projects and coordinating resources
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Experience in elevator or related building systems industry
- Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints
- Strong financial acumen
- Fully vested 401k match, up to 7% of total eligible compensation.
