- Consult with clients, vendors, team members, and coworkers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Confer with contractors, owners, architects, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Prepare estimates for purposes of planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
- Enter data into estimating software to aid in organizing and understanding costs.
- Review data to develop and establish cost data or to effect cost reduction.
- Being neat and organized will help maintain accuracy and quality.
- Must possess a strong memory retention and attention to detail.
- Follow through with commitments.
- Communication is key in this role, both with internal and external customers.
