Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, forklifts, tractors, and other construction equipment used in our quarry operations.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, HVAC systems, air brakes, steering components, and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and specialized diagnostic software to troubleshoot complex equipment problems efficiently.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and service logs for all repaired equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Support heavy equipment operation when necessary by performing safety checks and ensuring machinery is in top condition for field use.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or service technician with dealership or industrial background preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of construction machinery maintenance including excavators, scrapers, loaders, six-wheelers, and other quarry equipment .
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and automotive repair techniques; ability to read schematics accurately.
- Skilled in equipment troubleshooting across various systems and diesel engines.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently; familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
