Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries or concerns
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments with precision and integrity
- Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions or product demos to enhance sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and merchandising
- Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
- Support in supervising team members when needed, including overseeing product demos or promotional activities
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries
Qualifications
- Previous experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Demonstrated customer service experience in a grocery store or retail environment
- Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos is advantageous
- Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills to engage with customers professionally
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
