Now Hiring: Direct Support Professional (DSP/SSP) — Part‑Time Evenings
Location: York / Manchester, PA
A supportive, caring family is seeking a reliable, compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP/SSP) to provide in‑home support to a young woman who is deaf and non‑verbal. This role is a great fit for someone who is calm, dependable, and enjoys meaningful one‑to‑one work.
Schedule (Part‑Time)
- Occasional Friday and weekend evening shifts
- Approximately 15–20 hours per month
- Payrate is 17.22 per hour.
- Evening and night availability needed
- No overnight shifts
What You’ll Do
- Support evening routines and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Clean up after dinner
- Provide companionship, supervision, and a safe environment until family returns
- Assist with routine household/at‑home activities as needed
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Comfortable working in a home with two friendly dogs
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Able to pass all required background checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with current insurance and registration
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Experience with individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing
- Sign language knowledge is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $17.22 per hour
