About the Opportunity
A well-established, founder-led fine jewelry manufacturer is seeking a Product Development Assistant to support new product execution, costing validation, overseas factory coordination, and product development initiatives from concept through production.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on fine jewelry manufacturing experience who enjoys working cross-functionally and helping bring new products to market. The ideal candidate understands how fine gold jewelry is made, can review CADs and vendor quotes with confidence, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Support product development projects from concept through production
- Review vendor quotes, costing sheets, and product specifications for accuracy
- Analyze CAD files and identify discrepancies or missing information
- Coordinate directly with overseas manufacturing partners and vendors
- Track development timelines, revisions, samples, and production updates
- Partner closely with merchandising, inventory, production, and operations teams
- Maintain accurate product, costing, and development records across systems
- Assist with process improvements and operational efficiencies within the product development function
- Help ensure products are delivered on time, within specification, and aligned with business objectives
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of experience in fine jewelry manufacturing, product development, or vendor costing
- Strong understanding of fine gold jewelry construction and manufacturing processes
- Experience working directly with overseas factories and manufacturing partners
- Ability to review and validate vendor quotes, costing sheets, and CAD renderings
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related business systems
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within a wholesale fine jewelry environment
- Exposure to ERP, inventory management, or production tracking systems
- Experience supporting multiple product development initiatives in parallel
