What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Worker position at Scherba Industries?
This is an entry level, general labor position with opportunity for advancement within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Move inflatables from various locations on the production floor to their proper stations.
*Assist in lifting and moving fabric for sewing machine operators.
*Assist shipping department personnel in moving inflatables and print material to the proper area for processing.
*Set up inflatables for inspection and photos.
*Test inflate inflatables to ensure proper methods are being used for assembly.
*Clean inflatables when necessary.
*Follow all direction from Production Manager on project priorities.
*Perform all additional tasks as requested by management.
*Be aware of project due dates
*Perform all duties in a manner consistent with the spirit of teamwork.
*Assist installers as needed.
*Make deliveries and/or pick-ups when needed.
*Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly plant.
*Assist in sanitation and maintenance of production floor area.
*Basic electric and foam assembly.
*Demonstrate and encourage safe work practices at all times.
*Comply with all company policies.
Physical Skills
*Ability to lift/ push/ pull a minimum of 100lbs.
*Position requires extensive walking, standing, bending, lifting and climbing.
*Includes exposure to indoor / outdoor climates.
Language Skills
*Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, assembly instructions and procedure manuals.
*Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Qualifications
*Must be punctual and possess a good attendance record.
*Creative in problem solving and highly organized.
*The ideal candidate shall possess a "make it happen attitude".
*Possess a strong work ethic.
*Ability to complete projects on a timely basis.
*Ability to safely operate lifts.
