Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, data entry, and timely payments
- Oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate billing, collections, and reconciliation of customer accounts
- Administer payroll functions utilizing software such as Quickbooks to ensure employees are paid accurately and on schedule
- Prepare journal entries for payroll and other financial transactions while maintaining detailed documentation for audit purposes
- Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payables, receivables, and payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Support benefits administration by processing employee benefits data and assisting with related inquiries
- Collaborate with human resources and finance teams to ensure compliance with tax regulations and governmental reporting requirements
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll management using systems like Workday, ADP, or Kronos; familiarity with HRIS platforms is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar financial management tools
- Solid understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes along with account reconciliation skills
- Knowledge of non-profit or governmental accounting practices is a plus
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately
- High level of attention to detail with proficiency in data entry and 10 key typing skills
- Ability to understand complex financial concepts related to payroll, taxes, and general ledger accounting
