What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lawfirm Seeking Senior Paralegal (Civil Litigation) position at Scheer Law Group, LLP?
Scheer Law Group, LLP (“SLG”) is an AV rated firm with offices in Northern California (San Rafael) and Southern California (Orange County). SLG represents secured creditors in real estate and creditor bankruptcy matters and also represents landlords in landlord-tenant law. SLG is seeking a senior litigation paralegal, with a proven track record to work in either of our offices and who has experience with civil litigation and/or eviction for lenders and landlords. A qualified candidate would have experience managing the civil litigation process from start to finish, including: preparing complaints, calendaring, propounding and responding to discovery, handling law and motion matters, assisting SLG attorneys with all facets of trial preparation and maintaining online client status updates on all cases handled.
The position requires that a candidate be hard working, detail oriented and that the person can manage a medium sized caseload so that deadlines are met and excellent client service is provided. Continuous job experience with one or two firms or companies, demonstrating success at the position is also of interest to the Firm. Any candidate should have at least five years of stable work experience in the area of law specified or in a litigation position where similar skills were required.
