Compensation:

$15

Responsibilities:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. and 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sundays.  Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Must be available two weekends a month.  Average hours per week is 10-20.

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in Men's, Women's and Youth shoe areas
  • Prepare all necessary technology and devices prior to scheduled shift to ensure you are ready to begin at your scheduled time
  • Be proactive in communicating with Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand the urgent needs in the area

  • Select shoes form backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
  • Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
  • Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
  • Keep product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer's experience
  • Maintaining a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's 
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization
  • Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
  • Ability to apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures
  • Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser Leads
  • Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of sales experience

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Heavy workExerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
