Responsibilities:
Assist in Men’s, Women’s and Youth shoe areas
Prepare all necessary technology and devices prior to scheduled shift to ensure you are ready to begin at your scheduled time
Be proactive in communicating with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand the urgent needs in the area
Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates
Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock
Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor
Keep product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records
Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers establishing a rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer’s experience
Maintaining a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role
Ability to work independently and with the team
Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
Demonstrates attention to detail
Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels’ policies and procedures
Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and merchandiser leads

Compensation/Schedule:
Compensation for this position starts at $15.00 per hour. Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 5p.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Friday (earlier hours may be available) and 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. typical schedule will be every other weekend and 1-2 shifts during the week. Average hours per week is 20 hours.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
