What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extended School Year Physical Therapist position at Schaumburg Community Consolidated School District 54?
Staff orientation will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, with students attending June 2, 2026 - July 8, 2026. All Friday's and June 18 and July 2 are non-attendance days. Staff hours for ESY are 8:15 am -11:45 am.
Primary Responsibilities: Patient treatment per doctor's prescription: pool therapy, diagnostic observation in classrooms on individual basis when necessary. Evaluate and test patients. Provide treatment planning for non-professionals and classroom carry over. Counsel parents and provides instructions to parents regarding patient's at home treatment. Plan for and attend parent conferences. Child Study Team meeting, and multidiscilpinary staffings as needed. Keep records on all students followed in physical therapy and maintain their IEP. Provide technical expertise/guidance to non-professional personnel.
Requirements: State of Illinois Physical Therapist License
Salary: Contracted hourly rate
