What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tap/Jazz Dance Instructor position at Schauer Arts Center?
As a Tap/Jazz Dance Instructor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the dance skills of our students. Your responsibilities will include creating engaging lessons and lesson plans in tap and/or jazz dance for students aged 7-18, across varying skill levels. You will conduct weekly classes during the School of the Arts sessions (Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer) and organize a recital for all classes in May. Additionally, you will be responsible for completing student assessments at the end of the session.
Schedule: TBD, weekday evenings based on instructor and studio availability
Minimum Requirements: Must be 18 years old with at least one year of tap and/or jazz dance teaching experience. Must be able to work flexible hours such as weekends, nights, and occasional holidays.
