Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Structural Project Engineer, based in Novato, CA, with the flexibility to work remotely part of the time. The role involves performing structural analysis, designing and reviewing structural systems, coordinating with clients and internal teams, assessing structural conditions, and preparing technical reports. The engineer will also contribute to the design of waterproofing solutions and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities
Assist with structural repair design preparations.
Structural and waterproofing field assessments.
Perform evaluations of existing structures.
Assist with forensic investigations, building envelope diagnostics, and water testing.
Required Qualifications
Education: Four-year degree in architecture, engineering, construction management from an accredited university; or a minimum of 6 years of design experience.
Expertise in statics and mechanics of materials.
Proficient with Windows operating system and MS Office software.
Effective communicator in both oral and written forms, including report writing & technical sketches.
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with structural observations, walking construction sites, and onsite evaluation of existing buildings.
Generally knowledge of architectural or structural design preparation, the permitting process, and construction administration.
Familiarity with Bluebeam software and AutoCAD.
Familiarity with a broad range of general structural engineering and physics principles.
Understanding and knowledge of waterproofing systems, structural design concepts, and the design process.
Engineer-in-Training certification.

CA driver's license.
Capable of lifting and carrying 40lbs.
