What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Technician / Mechanic position at SCHARMACH VENTURES INC?
Think You’re a Master of the "Pre-Loved" ? Join the Squad at Seattle MINI!
Are you the kind of person who hears a faint rattle and immediately knows it’s a loose heat shield? Do you find a weirdly satisfying joy in turning a "fixer-upper" back into a "get-in-and-goer"? If you’ve got the skills to make used cars feel like they just rolled off the assembly line, we’ve got a lift with your name on it.
Seattle MINI is looking for a Used Car Technician who is ready to bring some magic to our pre-owned inventory. We’re a high-energy shop that takes our work seriously, but ourselves? Not so much.
Your Path to the Top (Certification & Pay Tiers)
At Seattle MINI, we believe your paycheck should grow with your brainpower. Here is how we break down our levels:
- Level 1 (Entry/Junior): Starting with a solid foundation. While ASEs aren't required to start, we'll help you get them!
- Level 2 (Mid-Level): You've secured ASE Certifications in core areas like Brakes (A5), Steering (A4), and Electrical (A6).
- Level 3 (Advanced/Senior): You are an ASE Master Technician (A1-A8) with a proven track record for high-quality repairs.
- Level 4 (Master Specialist): You’ve added MINI/BMW Manufacturer Certifications (like Level 1 status from the MINI STEP program) to your belt. This is the $200k territory for our most efficient elite techs!
The Goods (Pay & Benefits)
- The Paycheck: From $50,000 to $200,000 per year. Whether you’re a rising star or a seasoned veteran, we pay for your expertise and your hustle.
- The Perks: We’ve got your back with Paid Medical, Dental, and Vision.
- The Future: Matching 401K to help you retire on a beach someday.
- The Brain Power: We offer Paid Training. If you want to get better, we’ll pay for the classes to get you there.
- The Relaxation: Paid vacation after your first year. Go see the world (or just sleep in—we won't judge).
What you’ll be doing:
- Performing thorough inspections on a variety of makes and models (not just MINIs!).
- Diagnosing mysteries and executing repairs with precision.
- Ensuring every car that leaves your bay is safe, reliable, and ready for its next adventure.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: You know your way around a toolbox and a diagnostic scanner.
- Passion: You actually like cars. (Wild, right?)
- Integrity: You treat every car like your grandma is going to be driving it.
