We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Body Shop Director to lead our busy collision repair facility. This leadership role requires a passionate professional who can oversee daily operations, ensure top-tier customer service, and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the body shop operations, including workflow, staffing, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee auto body repair processes, ensuring repairs meet quality standards and are completed efficiently.
- Coordinate with insurance companies, vendors, and customers to facilitate smooth claims and repair processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Monitor inventory levels of tools, parts, and materials; order supplies as needed to keep operations running seamlessly.
- Provide training and mentorship to technicians on the latest repair techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, inspections, and operational metrics to optimize productivity.
Experience
- Proven leadership experience in an auto body shop or dealership collision center environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems, auto body repair techniques, auto painting, auto glass replacement, and detailing.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment, and auto restoration projects.
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes including vehicle maintenance and mechanic work.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for understanding dealership workflows and customer expectations.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff, customers, insurance adjusters, and vendors.
