Job Summary: As an Automotive Service Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and support to our service department. This role is crucial in creating a positive first impression and ensuring smooth operations within the service area. You will be responsible for managing appointments, handling customer inquiries, and assisting with various administrative tasks.Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address customer inquiries effectively.
- Schedule and manage service appointments, coordinating with service technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service requests.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy in billing and payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Provide general administrative support to the service department.
- Ensure smooth communication between customers and service staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in an automotive or customer service environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
