Objective
The Home Comfort Advisor will be at the front line of Schagrin Home Comfort Products. Our Home Comfort Advisors’ mission is to provide outstanding customer service to present and future Schagrin customers. The Home Comfort Advisor will play a crucial role in providing homeowners with prompt solutions on heating, air conditioning, fireplaces, generators, outdoor living appliances, and other home comfort products.
The Right Candidate:
- 2 years of HVAC sales experience is required, and experience with the construction industry is a plus.
- Experience selling fireplaces, generators, water heaters, and/or outdoor living appliances is ideal, but will train the right candidate.
- Proven background in sales, with formal training in business and sales strategy preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive and extremely well organized.
- Ability to manage your time efficiently and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Neat and clean appearance at all times.
- Positive attitude and outgoing personality.
- Comfortable splitting work time between office and visiting customer homes for appointments.
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing and clean driving record.
- Must comply with Schagrin Home Comfort Products drug and alcohol testing policy.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-home consultations to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions for their projects.
- Greet and/or meet customers in a Schagrin Home Comfort Products showroom to review potential products for their home.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Use proven sales techniques to quote projects and secure contracts that generate revenue for the organization.
- Ability to be trained on current and new products, as well as take initiative to learn on their own.
- Meet and exceed individual goals, as well as team goals consistently.
- Maintain knowledge on state energy and rebate programs.
- Coordinate with credit team and finance options to assist with customer approvals.
Schedule Requirements
- Must be available to work Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm and occasional Saturdays
Other Information
- North sales division includes Southeastern PA, Cecil County, MD, and New Castle County, DE.
- Pay structures include base salary plus commission, or 100% commission after eligible period.
