Compounding Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced pharmacy technician with non-sterile compounding experience to join our team and help us build our compounding practice. Our pharmacy technicians are a valued and critical component to our success. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in compounding pharmacy operations.

Schaffner Pharmacy is a family owned independent pharmacy in Sedro Woolley and Anacortes, WA. Our compounding pharmacy is located in Anacortes at 1419 Commercial Ave.

This may be either a part time or full time position depending on the applicant's preference and abilities. Our pharmacy hours are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday. No weekends.

Our pharmacy technicians play a critical role in our pharmacy's operation. We are looking for a self-motivated individual that is committed to constant improvement and development. Our technicians are involved in all aspects of the pharmacy care delivery model and operate with tremendous autonomy under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities:

-Compound prescription formulations

-Maintain laboratory environment

-Maintain laboratory standards

-Place supply, API and base orders

-Maintain compounding inventory

-Uphold pharmacy SOP's

-Compounding prescription order entry, pricing and other clerical duties

-Interact with patients and help answer general, non-clinical compounding questions

-Other duties related to compounding pharmacy operations.

Requirements:

-A Washington State Pharmacy Technician license is required.

-Previous non-sterile pharmacy compounding experience is required.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
