Job Summary
Schafer Powder Coating, Indiana’s premier powder coater, located in Whitestown, is looking for a Production

This is a regular, full-time hourly position with overtime. Supervisors are expected to work 45-50 hours per week with additional overtime as required, occasionally including Saturdays.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Coach – Supervise a team of 10-15 associates, monitoring productivity, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring everyone on your team understands his or her duties. Develop and train new employees, assisting them to become valuable team members. Crosstrain your employees to strengthen your team. To build your team, you must be able to work with and communicate effectively with your team members.
- Safety – To ensure you and your team works safely, you will be expected to set a good example and to always enforce Company safety guidelines.
- Quality – Learn and maintain the relevant quality standards. Work closely with our Process Engineers on resolving quality issues.
- Production – Meet daily production goals by effectively allocating your team members to avoid line stoppages and to enhance efficiency. Ensure your line is running with labor and equipment always maximized.
Skills/Experience/Education
- Powder coating experience not required; we are happy to train you in our methods.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) would be a plus.
- Proven experience as a supervisor.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Adhere to and enforce safety and quality guidelines.
- Meet daily production goals.
- Maintain detailed timekeeping records.
Physical Demands
Production Supervisors must be hands-on oriented and physically capable of performing tasks regularly performed by Production Associates. Associates are required to stand, bend, and kneel and to use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls. This includes being able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
