Truck Dispatcher

Overview

We are growing and looking to add another dispatcher to our team. We are a family owned trucking company hauling raw milk and other products Join our dynamic transportation team as a Truck Dispatcher, where you will be the vital link ensuring smooth and efficient transportation operations.

Schedule: 5 days on 2 days off

Pay: Based on Experience

Duties

• Manage a fleet of drivers to adhere to schedules and deliverables.
• Have clear understanding and be able to apply DOT hours of service rules
• Proactively work to assist others in achieving the company objectives
• Monitor on-time pickup and delivery
• Communicate load information and changes to drivers
• Communicate directly and daily with the logistics team
• Work to resolve questions or issues that arise
• Answer driver phone & customer phone calls and emails
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

Requirements:

• 2 years previous dispatching experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle multiple communication channels
• Knowledge of DOT regulations governing freight transport and vehicle safety standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
• Strong customer service orientation and professional phone etiquette for engaging with drivers, clients, and team members.
• Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• CDL A (Preferred)
