General Information:

We are seeking a senior leader for the Engineering organization in the Business Unit (BU) Electronics, Americas. This role is a critical pillar in the leadership team of the BU leadership team, with responsibility for Engineering excellence, driving next-generation product innovation, and a relentless focus on product cost competitiveness. Reporting to the Head of BU, Americas, the role leads a distributed engineering organization and serves as the primary technical leader for customer engagement and business acquisition in the region.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead a cross-border engineering organization with responsibility for approximately 60 Electrical & Mechanical Engineers and indirect leadership of around 50 System & Software specialists across the Americas and Europe.
• Ensure execution excellence across development, industrialization, and serial support for ECU programs while maintaining a strong focus on cost competitiveness and margin improvement.
• Shape the BU’s product strategy and roadmap by balancing architecture, features, performance, and cost for both core and growth business areas.
• Drive innovation initiatives by identifying and deploying new technologies, materials, and design approaches that support future business opportunities.
• Build capabilities across R&D, systems, and industrialization by identifying gaps and championing investments that leverage global synergies.
• Act as the primary technical interface for North American OEM customers, supporting quoting, acquisition, and strategic customer engagement.
• Represent the BU in industry forums, technical discussions, and customer events while strengthening the position of the business in the market.
  
  

Your Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Extensive leadership experience with 15 years in engineering leadership, ideally in automotive electronics or embedded systems.
• 5 years’ experience in powertrain control systems or complex electronic product development, with solid understanding of global and matrix environments.
• Business and customer acumen with the ability to engage credibly as a technical authority and support business growth.
• Must be willing to Travel as required up to 30% domestic and international.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, combined with a strategic mindset, transformation capability, and a results-oriented approach.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
