Your Key Responsibilities
The Co-op will be assigned to a specific project in a Focus Factory in the Seguin, Texas Schaeffler Automotive plant. In addition, the Co-op will collaborate closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams on a daily basis, contributing to a range of innovative and technically challenging projects.

The Co-op will be assigned to a specific project in a Focus Factory in the Seguin, Texas Schaeffler Automotive plant. In addition, the Co-op will collaborate closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams on a daily basis, contributing to a range of innovative and technically challenging projects.
- Support design and development of mechanical components, fixtures, and assemblies.
- Conduct tests, measurements, and data collection to support product validation and quickly improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance) to analyze and solve engineering problems.
- Participate in process improvement projects to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
- Observe and Learn about Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree mechanical, electrical, Mechatronics Engineering
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
- Experience in Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent communication ability (written &verbal)
- Extremely self-motivated & driven to achieve results
- Assertive approach to solving problems
- Ability to prioritize
