Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of comprehensive market analyses and drive the implementation of category strategies.
- Define and align profitable purchasing strategies across divisions and functions, ensuring effective negotiation tactics within the assigned category.
- Continuously monitor the supply market and manage the supplier portfolio to optimize quality, cost efficiency, on-time delivery, sustainability, and compliance with contracts and legal regulations.
- Lead price and condition negotiations within the framework of Strategic Market Agreements (SMA) and oversee supplier contract management.
- Coordinate and manage the assigned category, including purchase price planning and the identification and implementation of savings projects.
- Oversee supplier communication, monitoring, selection, and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes in coordination with Commodity Management to ensure uninterrupted supply of quality products at the lowest cost for cost-effective production operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, sources, and contacts to deliver core purchasing expertise and market insights, enabling development of new and existing supply sources that achieve the lowest total cost solutions for the organization.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of Schaeffler purchasing procedures, guidelines, and strategies; coordinate and ensure proper implementation of any procedural or policy changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence suppliers to achieve favorable terms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP, eSourcing platforms).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
