Sign Installer

Schaefer Sign Works, located in Indianapolis IN, is seeking a Sign Installer to join our expanding team.

·       Experience with Printed and Vinyl Cut Graphics would be a plus but not required.

·       Experience in surveying, removing, installing, and servicing various sign projects.

·       The environment for this position is primarily in the field but will involve some in-shop work from time to time (25%).

·       Candidates must be able to work independently, and act as required by the duties and responsibilities given to them.

·       Job requires general construction and/or mechanical knowledge.

·       This can be a physically demanding position requiring hands-on abilities and use of tools and equipment to complete the required field service assignments. The work includes both interior and exterior work during all seasons and weather conditions.

·       The best matched candidate would have 3 years of experience in sign installation and service or in a transferable role with similar skills.

·       No two days are the same in this role, lots of variety.

Minimum job duties:

·       Sign production.

·       Full-time availability (40 hours/week), Part-Time available as well

·       Ability to lift 75 lbs.

·       Comfortable working from ladders or lift.

·       Consult / interface with customers to ensure meeting quality and scope expectations.

·       Maintain cleanliness and organization of manufacturing/production area.

·       Assist in maintaining company signage equipment.

·       Accurately keep track of electronic and paper records related to jobs.

·       Must have flexibility to lean over waist-high table and use back and forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to substrate.

·       Ability to use power tools.

·       Learn new technologies, skills, and techniques to become a better sign making professional.

·       Good driving record.

Qualifications / experience would be a plus but not required:

·       Welding.

·       Concrete or Masonry

·       Vehicle wrap installation experience.
