Job Description
Perform duties required to receive and manage steel sheet and structural steel inventory, process material request and return forms and internal rejects replacement requests, perform cycle counts and process customer orders.
Perform duties required to receive and manage steel sheet and structural steel inventory, process material request and return forms and internal rejects replacement requests, perform cycle counts and process customer orders.
- Unload, inspect, and receive sheet steel and structural steel
- Manage accurate inventory of raw materials
- Organize and periodically rotate inventory
- Pull parts for shop and work orders using pick list
- Receive parts in from outside vendors according to ISO and other department procedures
- Protect parts as required and deliver to the next work center
- Stock in-house and vendor parts: verify quantities, check for shortages and complete procedure as required
- Process material return and request forms and internal reject replacement requests as needed
- Manage manufactured part inventory levels
- Pull parts for customer orders and deliver to associated manufacturing areas
- Perform cycle counts as required
- Inventory and track materials on a scheduled basis
- Complete inventory transactions accurately
- Troubleshoot inventory inaccuracies
- Maintain area in a clean and orderly fashion
- High attention to detail, team player and good communication skills, must obtain Schaefer forklift certification
- 6 months stock keeping, Inventory, or other related experience
- Standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
- Frequently lift up to 50lbs.
