Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced A Brake Operator to safely and accurately set up and operate a press brake to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, an eye for detail, and the ability to read shop drawings/blueprints in a fast-paced environment.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced A Brake Operator to safely and accurately set up and operate a press brake to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, an eye for detail, and the ability to read shop drawings/blueprints in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake equipment to bend sheet metal to precise dimensions
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop drawings
- Select correct tooling/dies based on material, thickness, and bend requirements
- Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional specifications
- Make machine adjustments to maintain part accuracy and consistency
- Perform basic machine preventive maintenance as required
- Safely move raw materials and finished parts (manual or assisted)
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety protocols, policies, and work instructions
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read blueprints and measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.)
- Strong understanding of bend allowances, tolerances, and sequencing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to perform basic math and conversions
- 1-2 years of press brake operation or related fabrication experience
- Sheet metal fabrication experience
- Experience working with brake press CNC controls
- Prior manufacturing experience
- Standing for long periods of time
- Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
